Mark Playne is a British filmmaker, author, and independent journalist whose work spans award-winning cinema, literary exploration, and investigative reporting.

Filmmaking Career

His short film Love at First Sight won 76 international awards and is archived by the British Film Institute. The film's success led to his nomination for the British Director award in a multinational feature film omnibus, part of an international peace project seeking resolution of the centenary of the Armenian genocide. His contribution, the sci-fi comedy 2 by 2, also garnered international awards.

Literary Works

Playne's writing celebrates intuition as the compass guiding our humanity and connection. His true-life memoir 3 Seconds in Bogotá blends danger and dark comedy in a gripping Colombian adventure.
